Elisabeth A Doehring, SHRM-SCP, GPHR, PHR, CWWPM, RYT-200, gets tech. This HR and team wellbeing professional loves working with IT teams as well as recruiting and hiring tech leaders and intrapreneurs. Tech is part of her family DNA. Her first cousin, Brian McClendon, cofounded Key Hole, which became Google Earth.
A teams and well-being industry leader, Elisabeth served on Alabama State SHRM Council, was keynote for UAB’s Innovation in Wellness Conference, as well as panelist with corporate innovation change team leaders from Google and NFP, and is a frequent speaker at state SHRM conferences, most recently at HR Florida’s Annual Conference in Orlando.
With nearly two decades of combined employee engagement, resilience, team building, and training experience within the fields of aviation, advertising, education, food, healthcare, government, legal, nonprofit, and tech, Elisabeth gets teams. She understands and embraces the tangible effects of gratitude in the workplace as a teambuilding block as well as its value on investment and return on investment.
Elisabeth’s wellbeing and HR published works appear in journals, magazines, and books in the United States and in Europe. A registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) with Yoga Alliance, Elisabeth has been teaching/practicing yoga and mindfulness for the last fifteen years.
A graduate of the University of Alabama, Elisabeth studied at Cumberland School of Law and has guest lectured at Yale University and the University of South Carolina.
High touch for high tech. John Naisbitt first espoused this phrase. His ground-breaking books, High Tech High Touch and Megatrends, promoted how people long for personal human contact. The missing link. A mantra and reminder that while we live in high tech we need to remember the “high touch”.
